Richard has lived and worked throughout the United States and Europe. He holds a degree in cellular biology and has worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields for over 15 years.

After graduating from the California Culinary Academy Baking and Pastry Arts Program, he has settled into the bay area and has been teaching privately from his home for the past five years as well as creating wedding and whimsical celebration cakes and cookies for children of all ages (even grown-up kids).

He also teaches adult and children's culinary classes at Spun Sugar in Berkeley and in Redwood City and has worked as the baker at the world famous CAKEWORK located in San Francisco.
