Part of our new "Quick Class" series where we focus on creating one great dessert. In this demonstration class, we'll show you how to make decadent individual molten chocolate lava cakes. This dessert is a snap to prepare and has been known to induce goosepimples on the first spoonful. Come hungry as we'll be sampling these desserts fresh from the oven.
A variety of gumpaste classes are offered, each class focusing on a different type of flower including roses, peony and orchids. You'll have the chance to use petal dusts to create depth, add color and create fully realistic looking sugar flowers. All materials supplied. Suitable for beginners and those wishing to work on fine tuning their gumpaste skills.

Our recipe is made with rich mascarpone cream, fresh brewed espresso and a touch of brandy. Simple to prepare, this recipe can be assembled in under 30 minutes.
One of our favorite classes, we will teach you to make delicious pies with flaky crusts and delicate fruit fillings. After the demonstration, every student in this class makes their own pie dough from scratch, then completes and takes home their own freshly made double crust fresh fruit pie. Learn how to prepare melt in the mouth all butter croissants and pain au chocolat in the classic French method. These flaky treats are perfect for brunch, family get togethers or just the two of you. Prepared ahead of time, unbaked, frozen pastries can be baked with little fuss and truly dramatic results.
Beautiful European style pastries await you. Students will learn to make delicate, crisp and lightly sweetened tart dough and techniques to roll out perfectly even pastry to fill individual tart shells. Together we will make fruit tartlets filled with fresh vanilla pastry cream, glazed to give shine and garnished with shaved white chocolate.
Get ready for a stunning display at your next brunch or dinner party. These gorgeous cakes are nary an inch high, yet pack an intense flavor from almond scented cake sandwiched between paper thin layers of raspberry filling. We'll finish the cakes with poured fondant and garnish them with romantic pink and red buttercream flowers and stems. Each student will create and take home their decorated cakes.
Students will make Choux paste from scratch and learn proper techniques for piping out batter to form eclairs and cream puffs. Our pastries will be filled with pastry cream and freshly whipped cream and garnished with a shiny chocolate ganache glaze.

Each student will create their own batch of puff pastry to take home, as well as learn how to create Tarte Tatin, a decadent dessert of tender pastry and buttery caramelized apples. This versatile pastry dough can be used to create any number of sweet and savory baked goods. We'll show you how

Souffles never fail to bring delighted looks from your dinner guests. Learn how to prepare soufflé bases ahead of time and pop them in the oven at the last minute for easy and elegant entertaining. In this class, students will prepare both a Chocolate Soufflé with Chocolate Truffle Centers and an Herbed Goat Cheese Soufflé.
Few desserts are more sublime than Crème Brulee. Creamy, full fat custard scented with vanilla bean and a paper-thin layer of caramel made using a handheld blowtorch. We will make this classic along with your choice of Chocolate Pot de Crème or Crème Caramel.
At Baking Arts, we like nothing better than creating magical and imaginative cakes using rolled fondant. In these classes, students will learn to smoothly cover a cake in fondant, and use the fondant to create a whimsical cake of their choice. Courses include those for a teapot, a wrapped present with ribbons, bows and polka dots, a deep dish pizza cake, a cartoon character such as Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck, and seasonal cakes including pumpkins and penguin cakes. These classes are meant to be as fun as they are challenging. Some classes require an extra materials fee. Please inquire when booking.
Ready to get a little wacky? In this class students will create and take home a two-tier topsy turvy cake. You will learn techniques to trim cakes that tilt both vertically and horizontally and construction techniques to stabilize the cake for presentation. We'll decorate our cakes in brightly colored fondant polka dots, diamonds and whimsical flowers. Experience not required for this class. We will guide you one step at a time the entire way. An additional material fee applies to this class.
Designed for the beginning cake decorator, students will learn the basic techniques to neatly fill and frost a cake then finish with elegant shell borders. All cake, icing and equipment provided. This is a fun and enjoyable class to take with a group of friends or for birthday parties and bridal showers. More advanced lessons covering a range of techniques are available on request.
From colorful whimsey to simply elegant, you'll learn how to create those gorgeous cookies just like in the magazines. We'll cover piping, color flow, gilding and other techniques in class. Our cookies designs change with the season and include all the holidays as well as birthday, baby shower and wedding designs. This class is another great one to take with a group of friends.
No simple swirls of buttercream here. If the Madhatter and Willie Wonka baked some cupcakes, they might look something like the ones we'll make in class. From cupcakes that look like daffodils and sunflowers to fantastical cupcakes with inch worms or caterpillars, you will make and take home cupcakes sure to put a smile on everyone's face. Students begin this class creating rich emulsified ganache for their chocolates. We'll continue by learning proper techniques for tempering chocolate, dipping ganache centers and decorating your chocolates with chocolate transfer sheets, piped chocolate and edible gold dust powder.
Master the proper techniques for cooking sugar solutions without crystallizing or burning. We will make for you to take home a luxurious cream caramel sauce perfect with ice cream and any two of the following candies: Hand cut vanilla marshmallows, dark chocolate and toasted almond covered toffee and peanut or macadamia nut brittle. Any or all of these candies are perfect as gifts at the holidays
